Jorge O. Cordova, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Jorge O. Córdova earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 1995. In 1997, he completed a two-year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lyons, New Jersey, where he received comprehensive training in all areas of general dentistry, including restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery.
In 2001, Dr. Córdova founded his private practice in Rockaway, New Jersey, with a commitment to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered oral care—from accurate diagnosis through the completion of treatment. His continuous professional development, combined with his personable approach and strong relationships with patients, staff, and colleagues, has allowed his practice to grow into a multidisciplinary dental center. Services include preventive, general, and cosmetic dentistry, as well as oral surgery and implant dentistry.
Dr. Córdova is licensed to practice general dentistry in the State of New Jersey through the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners. He is also a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the American Dental Association (ADA). A native of Puerto Rico, he additionally holds a license to practice general dentistry from the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Department of Health and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Herminio Perez earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2004. He subsequently completed a two-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in the Bronx, New York, where he received advanced clinical training in comprehensive general dentistry.
In 2006, Dr. Perez joined Bronx Lebanon Hospital as an Assistant Attending. The following year, he was appointed Site Supervisor at Westchester Medical & Dental, a branch of the Bronx Lebanon Dental Department, where he supervised clinical operations and oversaw patient care. In 2009, Dr. Perez completed a year-long program in Comprehensive Aesthetic Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry.
In 2012, he further expanded his professional expertise by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Sector Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Silberman College of Business.
For more than a decade, Dr. Perez has served as a mentor to dental students, residents, and young dentists, consistently encouraging them to pursue their professional goals despite challenges. As a clinician, he is known for his gentle approach and strong commitment to preventive and conservative dentistry. Dr. Perez prioritizes close communication with his patients, carefully listening to their concerns to deliver truly patient-centered dental care.
Dr. Perez is an active member of the New Jersey Alumni Association, the American Dental Education Association, the National Association of Medical Minority Educators, and the New Jersey Dental Association. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys photography, reading, art, and music.

Jonnathan Matute, DMD
Dr. Matute earned his dental degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in 2020. Born and raised in Ecuador, he relocated to the United States in 2010, the same year he enrolled at Kean University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
With a strong passion for teaching, Dr. Matute served as an instructor in Anatomy and Spanish in 2015. His long-standing aspiration to become a dentist led him to pursue formal dental training, and in 2016 he was accepted into Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He later completed a General Practice Residency Program at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey, graduating in July 2021. Dr. Matute enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is committed to delivering comprehensive patient care.
Dr. Matute is the first and only member of his family to pursue a career in dentistry. He values quality time with his brother, with whom he enjoys attending sporting events. Beyond his family life, he is deeply committed to mentoring high school and college students, encouraging them to pursue their goals and dreams. Dr. Matute is an active and engaged member of his community and is always willing to offer support whenever needed.
